The 5 days climbing Kilimanjaro via Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro. The route enables the climber to reach the summit one day earlier as compared to the Machame route.
The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time period is quite low. Spending an extra acclimatization day on the mountain is highly recommended when climbing Kilimanjaro using the Marangu route.
This route, with its steep passages and higher altitudes, offers you occasional views of Mount Meru, Shira Ridge and Kibo summit as you make your way through lush rainforest, moorland and alpine desert.
The Kilimanjaro Rongai route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border and is one of the least travelled routes. The Rongai route joins the Marangu route before the summit climb, then you descend the Marangu Route on the mountain’s southeast side.
There’s a reason the Machame Route 9 Days is our most requested tour package: the scenery and trekking experience is unmatched. From tropical rainforests and scorched desert plains to stunning arctic landscapes, you’ll get to experience it all. Don’t miss out on your chance to climb the most popular route on Kilimanjaro.
